Virgal Woolfolk – CEO/President of VIRTEK Company
As CEO, Mr. Woolfolk views success as equal parts, strategy and connection, keeping a sharp focus on what sets the company apart in a changing marketplace, delivering relentlessly, and keeping in close touch with the people who energize the strategy—VIRTEK Company’s clients, employees and management. He is a former Caltrans employee, worked for Eastern Municipal Water District as its first Senior Environmental Planner, with the County of Riverside in developing its first Growth Management Plan, and was one of the first environmental specialists trained by the US Navy. He also hold degrees in Business Management, Law, and Environmental Management. He is also a hold a California Teaching Credential and teaches courses on Water and Wastewater Management, Environmental Justices, and Business.
He has extensive knowledge of how Design/Build process is incorporated in many transportation projects that involves utilities. Mr. Woolfolk has been a Transportation Planner, Environmental Planner, Land Use Planner, Surveyor Assistance and Senior Environmental Planner with over 25 years of professional federal, State, and regional and agency experience. He also has a degree in Law, Business Management and Environmental Management. Throughout his career, Mr. Woolfolk has managed many infrastructure projects that includes land use planning, environmental studies and compliance, project management, and overseeing budget requirements. As a Senior Environmental Planner in management, he was required to review environmental studies and cross-disciplinary project personnel matters such as safety, budget forecast and other advance planning systems. Experience also included being the primary contributor to develop, monitor and evaluate the Program Level Action Plan (PLAP), Strategic Advance Planning and related Strategic Focus Areas.
Alan Hillwig – Vice President
Mr. Alan Hillwig has been with VIRTEK Company for over six years and has worked on projects for both the public and private sectors specializing in photogrammetry. Past duties have included, but not limited to, managing the surveying and mapping departments for large civil engineering firms. Surveying services performed range from performing boundary establishment, control networks – established from conventional and GPS surveying techniques, Construction, Topographic mapping prepared from Aerial Photogrammetry, LIDAR and conventional Land Surveying techniques. Mr. Hillwig has over 35 years of experience in civil engineering design, land surveying, mapping and aerial photograph. His education includes: Associated Art Degree, Civil Engineering, San Bernardino Valley College, 1973 Land Survey Certificate Program, San Bernardino Valley College, 1977 MAPPS Management Program -1990, Global Positioning Systems Training -1991 _ PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION Professional Land Surveyor, California Certificate No. 5137 Professional Land Surveyor, Arizona Certificate No. 32786 Professional Land Surveyor, Nevada Certificate No. 12673
Ankur Khanna has been an entrepreneur for the past 6 years. He has been a senior free-lance senior consultant on many Smart Meter deployment projects with Utilities like SDGE, SoCal Gas and Consumer Energies in Michigan. He brings an array of strengths to our organization in the areas of IT Technical Services, Integration, Project Management, Risk Mitigation and Training. Prior to that he was a senior IT manager with Citi Group for 4 years. He also holds Patents and carries a passion for creativity, and creating unique solutions and products.
